Takeuchi was a mediocre amateur mangaka, so he got his old high school buddy from years ago to write actually interesting settings and characters for him. What a smart guy.
Now that they're filthy rich, there's no reason to work together on new projects or make anything good. It's pretty sad that some people are OK with this FGO shit.

I wonder if their relationship was always more materialistic and less personal than it seems (they're both decently talented, so might as well work together, rather than being genuine good friends). Based on Nasu's portrayal of high school buddies in his works, you'd think otherwise. Maybe they just grew apart as the years went on.
