I know where you're coming from, but I will say this as a 2D-fag, or at least mostly 2D-fag, there are many times when I find the thought of exactly what you've written there inescapably erotic, and I can't help but lust after 3D. The vast majority of us are like this, on both sides of the ocean (just look at all the brothel/fuuzoku threads on Futaba). Why do I lust after it? Because just as you said I am an animal and can't control my instincts. So the die-hard 2D-fags really are some of the most idealistic people of our generation, on the same level (and I'm sorry to say this) with religious nuts. I can't really think of any reason why this would be bad, except that perhaps by denying our animal nature we've set ourselves up to lie to ourselves and live as hypocrites.
