Zounose should not be allowed to touch the Touhou canon because of the fact alone that he has a very strong headcanon, which he's shown time and time again doesn't care about the actual, established canon. He'd end up forcing his own interpretations into the manga, and we'd end up having to pick them apart for what's supposed to be ZUN's idea, and what's just Zounone's bullshit.

Not to mention, he can't even keep things consistent in his own headcanon. How can he be trusted to do it for an official manga?

If an official 2hu anime ever gets made. ZUN will probably be very involved with the animation studio in its creation, so I wouldn't worry that much about a corporation fucking everything up.

Fuck no. The current fanimes are fucking garbage. To give a summary of some of their biggest flaws:

>Memories of Phantasm
The pacing is just awful. And it doesn’t help that they keep putting out 12-15 minutes episodes. In which at least half of the episodes consist of the intro, the outro, and the characters doing absolutely nothing, making the episodes really slow and the plot dragging far longer than necessary.
It claims to “retell the stories from the games” but it constantly keeps skipping battles, putting their awful headcannons and even includes some small 2hu maymays here and there.
It has LolFanservice, even though that’s probably one of the first things a 2hu fanime that pretends to be “serious” should avoid.
The animation is decent, but whoever is the character artist needs to get replaced and fucking fast. As he has some of the worst cases of samefaces I’ve seen. Apart from Reimu’s (which doesn’t really look much like her anyway) and Marisa’s faces, the guy only knows how to draw 3 other faces.
The Yuuhei Satellite songs from the intros while good get old extremely fucking fast. If you've heard 2 or 3 songs from that circle, you already have heard everything they have to offer.
The only good thing I can say about Memories of Phantasm is that they make some good music arranges that can be heard during the episodes.

To put it short, it’s a boring memefest with awful art and designs in general. Seriously, the less I talk about their flaws the better.
The only good things that can be said about it are the VA (even if most of them are completely miscasted) and the fact that they at least try to tell their own story, even if it is pretty mediocre.

TL;DR: It wouldn’t be hard for any animation studio to make a better anime that any of the shit fans have done until now, as the fans have set an extremely low bar.
