Living in a 2D world would be impossible. Since our world is 3D, we can only perceive things in 2D (Figure 2), even if you can see things and people from multiple angles, it doesn't change the fact that you're only seeing them from one side at a time, "flat" images that are right in front of your eyes. Consequently, if we were 2D beings, we'd only see things in one dimension (Figure 1). It goes from highest to lowest in terms of dimensions perceived, this is the reason why we haven't figured out how 4D works yet too.

TL;DR if we were 2D, we'd see nothing but straight lines.
