VN fag here, I love Higurashi but the "Home Alone" ending is a bit of a trainwreck.

Higurashi was always more of a character tale for me anyway, which it's way it will always be superior to Umineko. Meakashi is the best thing R07 wrote.

Also Rei was a fantastic epilogue too.
