Tepeu kills ORT after the concept of death is added but technically it's not said Tepeu couldn't see it beforehand afaik. Actually it mentions ORT has died before but just starts back up and lacks a biological death. They compare it to how humans are done for if they die even once but ORT is more like a machine and will just restart eventually. This is also said about MEoDP so seems absolute(Pic Related). When ORT dies to Tepeu(One life killed) the next time we see it is after it remakes itself conceptually so the death is legit in the same way it is for vampires. But Tepeu's eyes are weak so he likely didn't hit the point or is even able to see it. Otherwise ORT would have to be killed outright.
