I agree, the presentation matters the most. I obviously don't mind it in Fate and ef, as most people reading those VNs will know what they're about to get into. Those heroines deserve to be happy after all the suffering they've endured, regardless of the status of their virginity.

Anyway, as for an example of a badly implemented inclusion of a non-virgin heroine, I think there was that one game by elf? where the main heroine literally talks about her first time with her ex while in the middle of a h-scene. That apparently led to lots of outrage since the VN was marketed as a pure love one.
