Agree with this. Jynx's stage design is... questionable, but he does alright with music and boss fights. Flash bombs are a fun mechanic when they're done right (ie: the mandatory grazing during Len'en 2's TLB). I also appreciate the fact that the games are more difficult than Touhou as a whole.

On the topic of games, though- you have to remember that most people on /jp/ don't actually PLAY Touhou or any shmups, they just talk about the characters- and Len'en has characters that are both unknown and less memorable as far as the majority of /jp/ is concerned. To make matters worse, the JynX's goofy answer to the characters' gender got the SJW pronoun meme circulating around the west even though half of the characters wear skirts, which turned a LOT of people off from the series and the characters in it.
