I've been wondering about that, actually. The lyric video says "Shinigami-sensei + Calliope", as if it's referring to --her-- sensei. Obviously this does not match the music.

Narrative: Mori originally wanted the 'hot teacher' element to be part of her character, thus it was written into the song. However, she changed her mind late into the character's development, since it could lead to yabs due to her roommate being a teacher.

However, the song was already recorded, "shinigami-sensei Calliope" line included. So she awkwardly retconned it by adding the '+' to the MV. One might go so far as to postulate that the "Death-sensei" character was created solely to cover up this mistake.
