Wait, purely? Since your Akagi only has green, does she participate in dive bombings(mid-battle)? Are you losing too much bauxite per resupply?

Let's take a look for example on a previous thread Anon's composition that cleared 2-4. Diversify your aircraft composition on your carriers, mix it with at least one green(rarer the better). As the wiki stated, put the yellow scout plane only at the fourth/last slot.

Here's the fleet I used to clear 2-4 if that can help you somehow. Also having them all sparkling brought them barely damaged to boss while no-sparks = at least 2 having middle damage, really big change.

I've been spending a lot of ammunition and bauxite crafting planes (50/60/10/110 recipe with Akagi) for my 2 CVs prior to the sorties, having good anti-air and ryuusei-tier torpedo bombers did wonder to my AA potential & overall CV damage output.
Got the 21 type radars via 2 remodeled Isuzu for all that matters.
