right, the image resolution game in the world of JAV is completely stupid. it's ridiculous because they tangibly exist somewhere. you sometimes see them on twitter when an intern randomly decides to bless us with them or forgot to compress everything to shit or whatever. the ultra rare and absolutely giant MADOOOON!!!! textless covers (pic rel) are an example of this.

also when i say photosets, i mean those 100+ sets of random photos taken throughout the movie in western porn. i don't know the context behind them and honestly haven't watched western porn in a while but that was one thing that always stuck out to me. better resolution than some dedicated gravure at times, even ...
you would think JAV would offer something similar: it'd be like a hardcore digital photobook with each movie without too much extra investment (if western porn studios can do it, so can JAV, right?)
