sometimes, there are moments when i read japanese and the japanese sentence itself makes no fucking sense. in what situation would you say 夜中とて遊んでいてはいかんぞ？ wouldn't it go without saying that its not a good idea to roam around in the dead of night? why use とて as if its not already common sense to not do said thing.
