Why is Perfect Cherry Blossom the only game with a Phantasm Stage?

browsing kotaku > saw the super mario world level that played alongside kumikyoko niconico douga > googled the tunes i didnt know > wtf is touhou > more google > pcb torrent > rage

Help from all PCB players. Can't understand the whole (kinda spoiler message but i fail at doing them right) 60 spellcards to unlock phantasm stage, do i capture the spellcards in practice start or regular start. Or both combined. O.o

I recently finished Perfect Cherry Blossom and I must say it was amazing.

For the first time in a while I was able to throughly enjoy something. I really felt with the protagonist, her dedication in performing her job as a shrine maiden. The way she devoted himself to solving Gensokyo problems. Seeing the other side of the story made it even better, the "truth" of the situation, how it would look like to us. It is a magnificent story that questions the meaning of death, our concept of life, good and bad, everything. I was really happy for them in the end.

And for the first time in a long time, I was unable to sleep that night, after 1ccing through all three characters ending one after another.

tl;dr why is Perfect Cherry Blossom so awesome?
