If you're gonna talk about CG, I almost got turned off on Umineko pretty early on when I got to the first twilight and the game showed pretty much nothing, which was extremely disappointing because of course you can't "watch" the murders happen or it ruins the mystery. It got a little better with some later CG, but oh boy did that first twilight feel like a let down given all the build up and how ready I was for shit to go down. Comparing it to the badass shit the manga shows off for the first twilight of game 1 just makes the VN look sad.
