I like CUL, but her name is awful (it even means "ass" in my native), why did they have to name her like this? I bet not even Japanese people can read this without looking up what the reading is. "カル / Karu" would've been good enough. Also I suppose that's subjective, but her original design is a bit crap, this one should've been the official one :

Not saying she'd have become really popular, but with at least these two criteria fixed more people would have used her that's for sure. Popularity of a Vocaloid can be decided by very little factors that may seem irrelevant; the voice itself is definitely not the sole factor, far from it.
