Possibly due to the fact most IV releases only get DVD version for their physical release. Then having a 1080p digital version as the HD option. Maybe when they scrap physical versions all together, we might see 4K become more common.

Just to highlight DVD's dominance, at the moment out of the 80 IV's listed on Amazon's new releases pages, only 5 are blu-ray's.
