Well. It's almost 2019. Eroge are only about t@a, everything else isn't worth paying attention to anymore. I'd like to think a lot of this is just devs misunderstanding shit, but there's some truth to it. T&A sells the easiest and it's easy to advertise with. And if there's been one kind of development that happened, then it was going towards getting as easy as possible. Charage were telling character based stories with the romance simply being a part of it, sometimes even just a fairly small part. They almost died out. Moege "evolved" from them, where they basically reduced the story to a small part towards the end (often awful) and have everything else be nothing. As "nothing" is easy to write. If you have nothing you write, you don't need to worry about multiple writers, coordination and so on. It's nothing anyway. Fast and easy. Like your burgers.

Obviously, if you want more than a shitty burger, that's a very shitty development. But as long as people eat it up, can you blame them? It's easy for them. Why take risks. It's why I like to simply play games by devs who don't act as if they do something else. Astronauts for example. Their games have a lot of porn, but still tend to feel more genuine than what most other companies shit out nowadays. I even had more fun with Adebana, then with many "recently" released moege. If you are going to be about sex sex sex anyway, may as well add a sex demon and whatnot, right? Right. At least if you ask me. Sure, she isn't a virgin, but guess what? Her story is still actually good. Even as someone who doesn't even have a long route. (as she is kinda always there messing around)


Oh well. [/rant] But seriously. The industry doesn't need to complain that it's dying. They all want to be nukige. And is the nukige eroge part of the industry actually dying? Probably not. Everything else is, because there's just nothing tried there anymore.

It's actually so refreshing to actually have the hundreds of years old goddess/devil/whatever not be a virgin for once..

Not sure where the game even goes though. For now it's just "these three girls got possessed by evil shit and you gotta do it with one of them to fix that". Sucks(?) if you got your exorcism power by a devil I guess? Just one is enough though. But this choosing part gets over pretty fast so far and only includes "foreplay" with the girl in question anyway, so... the route gotta have something else.
Nia does have a route though, even though she's kinda outside of the "choose a girl" thing. Has the least CG, but she is on the cover... so I dunno. I can imagine her joining with other girls... or possessing a heroine for shits and giggles. She already showed, she can do that and she is that kinda girl.
