almost 5 year year hikki here, and the answer is government funds. been trying to meet other /jp/ers who are also hikikomori, but everyone is just a part time NEET of some sort.

they're left alone by their family since they're young or get pestered constantly. the amount of adults who manage on their own while being a NEET or hikikomori is abyssal on current day /jp/.

i browsed this board. i hate this board so much, but every day for years i've come back. i just wanted a break to cool my head off, but it keeps getting thrown in my face. i'm really starting to hate this board. i would jump for joy and cry tears of happiness if moot deleted /jp/ so it's gone from my life.

real bad. can't sleep for longer than 3 hours straight. i dream about posting on /jp/ sometimes then i wake up and check the board. it feels like the board is sucking away my life.

every day i wonder why i even visit this board. i see how many posts and threads are from me on the front page and i feel even worse. the only thing that keeps me going is all the cute anime pictures that gets posted.

i always struggle with depression because so many people hate anime screenshots, but they're the only reason why i get out of bed every morning. without those cute pictures being posted i would have ended my suffering long ago.

if it doesn't work out that's all there is to it. takes a bit of thought to resolve how everything developed, but afterwards it's just another life experience. i feel more disappointed when i find out they aren't up to my expectations and am more prone to reject them.
