On Fenrir, there weren't too many issues with Dynamis.

They'll probably wait until there's a lot less people to lower the number of servers they would have to support. I don't think it will be anytime soon considering how much of a flop FFXIV was and now the natural disaster Japan has to recover from. Though I would definitely reactivate my account to play again if they did switch to free-to-play.
