Mahoyo is pretty absurd, just the main room of the mansion has 46 different variations to account to the different light levels.
I can't think of any other VNs that has variations of indoor CGs that account for the light level of cloudy days.

Do we know why Alice is so attached to the mansion?
It goes beyond caring about her family and many lines mention she will be fine as long as she can rest in the mansion

the only character development aoko and alice go through is in their relationship with sono g. nothing about their world view, motivations, future aspirations, etc. changes significantly by the end of the story.
compare this to shirou, who needs no explanation; or shiki ryougi, who comes to terms with her identity crisis and conflicting morality/desires.
