I liked ML plenty but I wouldn't definitively say the drama wasn't forced. A lot of things from the characters' coincidental backgrounds, protag's attachment to Sumika, and much of the dying towards the end of Alternative felt more than a little unnatural for me.

Last VN I finished was Muv-Luv Alternative and I'm disappointed with it compared to Unlimited. I feel like the dialogue really deteriorated towards the end with the 'personal reason for fighting' shit, but throughout most of the rest of the vn I was pretty fascinated.

Playing Sharin no Kuni now. Just finished Sachi's route and I liked it a lot, though I got pretty sick of her shit during the last part.

The plot forcing the PLAYER to canonically fall in love with a toddler made me feel very, very ill. And that's why I hate Coco.
