Try Impossible Spell Card. It's about using in-game "cheats" that you use to overcome seemingly impossible stages.
It's more forgiving to new players because it's level-based. That means you only need one good attempt to beat a stage instead of having to having to play the whole game well.
It was the first Touhou game that I beat and I had a blast. The only downside is that if you're anything like me, playing the game will make you fall in love with Seija.
