Additionally I think the simulation operates off of the perceived reality of those within it rather than absolute reality. This is why in Umineko, lies that everyone agrees to are written as the truth, and at the end of Tataridamashi, we see the K1 baseball bat scene as Satoko describes it to Ooishi, rather than how it actually happens in Tatariakashi. This is because simulation may have been showing that scene based off of Ooishi's perception of what happened, rather than what Satoko perceived. This could also be why in Higurqshi, L5 hallucinations are written as if they are actually happening, because the AI can only see reality through the perception of those on the gameboard.
