The reason Umineko never took off compared to Higurashi was because their most prominent loli in the series was never sexualized in any medium. The implied tickling was off-screen, there was no outfit that accentuated thighs, there was not even an innocent bath scene that showcased her shoulders. Ryukishi07 had the right idea in the past but he just threw everything away.
