I get you, and for me it's because they downplayed some things that made the end of HF special. One of the biggest sins in my eyes is that the effects releasing Archer's arm has on Shirou were toned down, inconsistent and glossed over. I recall correctly, in the VN his mind and body is starting to fall apart before they enter the cave, and it lends a sense of urgency, emphasizes the strength of his conviction, and adds a sense of sadness towards to inevitability of the end when he leaves the house for the last time. Yet in the movie his loss of mental ability just kind of comes out of nowhere near the end when he hands Sakura to Rider to Sakura, disappears just as quickly when Kirei shows up, and then suddenly he's worse again when Illya appears.
>DBZ fight between Rider and Saber, for one. It's been twelve years since I read F/SN, but even I know they shouldn't be causing that much damage without noble phantasm use.
I enjoy it, but I do get a little frustrated when I think about how much focus it got compared to Shirou vs Kirei. I thoroughly enjoyed Sakura vs Rin though. NLBW was okay; build up was good; actual execution of the encounter was unfulfilling, the 1080 no-scope slash was retarded.
