This is mostly due to what I think, but the reason Lunasa is the most popular is because there's this culture of refinement and elegance disseminated around the violin, in contrast to the trumpet, which is a bit more rowdy, and the piano, which seems to strike different cultural chords altogether. The instrument contrasts these traits into the character, and thus Lunasa is clearly thought of as a more refined, well-bred version of her sisters.

I'll be honest, I liked Lunasa a lot the first time I saw her, and even today, I barely care for her sisters the amount I care for her. She's part of the reason I took up the violin and it's easy to see why a lot of other fans would strive to do the same thing and be a bit more like her every day, in canon or fanon form.

By the way, please don't take it the wrong way. My point isn't to break instruments into stereotypes or make the violin look better or fancier than a piano or a trumpet. All instruments have their own special traits and culture revolving around them, and they're each wonderful in their own little way.

And needless to say, this is not a copypasta. I'm sorry if it looked like it.
