/jp/, I just thought of something.

Say you're a member of a Japanese family. You have an older brother. He marries a girl younger than you.

Would you call her "onee-chan" since she's married to your older brother, or "imouto" since she's younger than you?

Picture unrelated.

Something I've noticed while reading manga and watching anime. A lot of the time, a married couple is depicted as sleeping in separate beds in the same room, even if the manga/anime in question isn't necessarily "kid friendly". Is this a common occurrence in Japan? That is, married couples sleeping in separate beds? Or am I just being a retarded foreigner?
