One last thing, don't want to attentionwhore, something you might want to do first is just make or download tiny diorama scenes, just a couple metres of floor and one or two pieces of furniture.
If it's smaller than your playspace, you won't need to worry about where you're walking.
Lot of what motivated me was just mitigating that anxiety of hurting yourself or breaking your equipment by losing track of where you are.
