I don't really know how this turned into a meta thread since OP was just asking how peoples' years went.

A lot of bad stuff happened this year, or I guess for the past few years. Most people seem pretty sour, and even with Christmas just a few days away it hardly feels like it. Seems like a lot of places didn't really bother with decorating this year at least where I live.

17.5 was probably my favorite thing to come out of this year. Fun gameplay and the music's really good too.

OP here; I don't know about the downloads from Moriya Shrine or why he mentioned them, but the versions of 6 and 7 from the previous release of this pack were definitely a little screwy. I'm not exactly sure how (just grabbed them from another torrent at the time), and it shouldn't have had any effect on gameplay, but the file hashes didn't match the originals. However, all the games in this release are verified CD rips.

If you haven't noticed, that's been a trend lately among people who are in the "idiot valley"/Dunning-Kruger area of Touhou knowledge, presumably because it makes them feel smart, or cool, or above (other) secondaries.
To be fair, you can list a bunch of reasons why TH06 doesn't fit in and therefore feels like it shouldn't be canon, but of course that doesn't change the fact that it is.
