This bothers me for two reasons, and neither have anything to do with "it's not cool because people know about it now."

1) No news network has any business reporting on events only relevant to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc. It's not news.

2) Let's say Touhou becomes mainstream. There will be increased pressure for ZUN to either produce games faster or sell the license to someone. Dunno bout you, but I want ZUN to take his time (take it easy), and make the quality games he has been. And if the last 10 years are any indication of what happens to franchises, I sure as hell don't want Hollywood near my precious Mokou and Sakuya.
