As a model maker, I can't help but admire her.

Because she puts her heart into striving to make a perfect doll, and still puts them out fast enough to use them as ordnance. While I've been working on my EW Viggen for the better part of a year, and still nowhere close to finishing.

The dolls are not alive, not sentient, and hardly even move without Alice's constant attention.
They are controlled by Alice who pulls their strings (apparently Alice has some very long strings).
The dolls only appear to move independently when Alice isn't paying attention to what she is doing.
What is your other hand doing right now?
