Early Nasu's writing style isn't very good to begin with, it's evident in both Tsukihime and Kara no Kyoukai. I'd rather read the English over the Japanese version for Tsukihime because it's easier to swallow and less frustrating to read in my opinion. Also being able to read the work and understanding cultural nuances of the work are two different things to someone from the outside reading it, in this case the EN->JP reader won't be able to carry that over let alone express it properly without a proper class in modern Japanese and again that wouldn't be enough. In short the answer is convenience.
