Hi /jp/. My external HD, where I kept all my touhou music, explodercated, taking with it all my data. Shit sucks. Now I'm looking to rebuild my music library!

Can we have a touhou music recommendation thread to help me rebuild my collection? No, I don't want to download some multi-TB torrent full of music I will never go through. I just want to take it one album at a time, just like how I built my last library

So far I've been getting O-Life, the Eurobeat, and Tutti Sound albums back as those are the main circles that I can remember. Any others you guys can recommend? Just the name should be enough, but if you can be arsed into getting me a download link too, I would love you a lot!

Too many excellent albums to name a single favorite, so I'll just list a few I hold particularly close to my heart

Neutral's Acoustic Shooter. It's just an utterly gorgeous album. Bonus points for having one of the best renditions of The Gensokyo The Gods Loved I've ever heard

Soundholic's Touhouteki Gensou Shigekishuu. The songs were actually good enough for me to get over my ordinary hatred of trance music. That may not mean much to you, but I assure you that I hate trance enough for that to be an accomplishment worth speaking of

Magnum Opus' Record of Ancient Chronicles. The PC98 games were some of my first touhou games due to my neurotic obsession with playing a game series in the order the games were released, and it just tickles me to be able to hear the little midi tunes done such fine justice. Eternal Shrine Maiden and Now, Until the Moment You Die are particular favorites of mine

Butaotome's Kaiten Mokuba is an excellent album if you like piano instrumentals. Their rendition of Satori Maiden ~ Third Eye is utterly haunting, and Voyage 1969 is very beautiful as well

I could go on, but I keep getting distracted by listening to the albums I list as I list them. I really should stop it

I use headphones. Wish I lived alone and had a really fuckawesome pair of speakers, but I have a decently awesome set of headphones, so it's pretty good too

I maintain there is no other way to play Touhou, though. ZUN's music, so good

While I was gone, I got Sennheiser HD595 headphones & PCIe Soundblaster Audigy and decided to download some of the albums in Touhou lossy music collection. Sad news everyone: it's not worth it. I can't tell any difference with this gear. Zero, nothing.
