She was fairly popular circa beginning to middle of 2012, having her own single, her own show and able to ranked 4th at sousenkyo. And then there was that scandal, she was transferred to hkt but her popularity didn't decrease. It was increasing, to the point she was able to rank 1st at 2013 sousenkyo, where nobody expected her to win, where people predicted it would be either yuko or mayu. So it's basically a story about falling from grace, being an underdog and winning. Plus, she's funny enough to be in many variety shows.
