it's a very typical japanese story-telling style of keeping things ambiguous, whether intentionally or unintentionally is a different thing
for example there's that whole cloud and sephiroth interaction in the ancients temple, that was a super weird portion that probably will be left in the speculation zone indefinitely
but seeing as the game is a long rollercoaster there would probably only be a few moments that people will remember in trying to talk about the main storyline, and pekora would probably be the same
