Wow, Iku was a fucking monster. I'd argue Imuya was equally important since it managed to sink the damaged Yorktown. If it didn't the Americans would've gone 4-0 in Midway given their repair crew being top notch which would've sealed the deal way faster than how history played out.

Most Japanese ships just flat out sucked in terms of combat record because no shit, they lost the war. The miniscule "victories" that ships like Poi and Ayanami gathered were insignificant after Midway since it was ogre by then. If you had to grade their ships on contribution/longevity the crane sisters would be up there as well, especially Zuikaku.
