Lost Child was well produced mediocrity.

It had incredible music and great voices(including Jouji Nakata as the antagonist) but generic characters and plot.

In retrospect, yes. The plot and charas were very completely, utterly average.

But it was well produced, especially the voices(with voices like fucking Jouji Nakata and Kenichi Suzumura), the roaring SSH bgm and the simple but ballsy battle system.

As a sum of its parts it left a strong impression.
