Having Shigure as the main character already puts the new anime leagues above the old one. Fubuki was and still is a terrible pick for being the main character. Don’t know why they even went with her. It should have been Kongou or someone else entirely. As for them dropping the slice of life, I’m hesitant on the idea, but it’s probably for the best. Honestly, I’m more worried about them butchering Shigure’s character more than anything. Overall, i have some hope for it.

I hope you guys enjoy the game for now. Once the second season airs and becomes anime of the year, the game will be flooded with new players. Also, enjoy having Shigure be the new face for Kantai Collection. She’s going to be the best waifu shipgirl with no equal.

Surprised no one has mentioned the new Anime. Surely it won't be as bad as the first one. Fubuki couldn't carry the first season, but Shigure will.
