Its an idol thing. Idols need to be seiso (pure) and virgins forever and cute and nice and the True Girlfriend Experience and always love all their fans and never do or say or think anything bad ever.
Idols cant have boyfriends ever, no. Idols also have "antis", mentally deranged people that dedicate time out of their life to ruining an idol's life and career forever, to the point where if your address is public you should probably either move or graduate (retire) because you're literally not safe anymore.

VAs are just voice actresses, everyone but deep autismo types understand they have a personal life. It does happen though.
