People miss the importance of this scene. The "normal" Satoko wants now isn't the old normal. She is bothered by Rika using her "Nipah" personality as a cover rather than talking with Satoko as an equal.

When she dived into Rika's loops, she realized that the Rika she knew was a lie and she was never "changed" by St.Lucia, like she originally thought, and yet she still kept her Rika obsession, or even got worse about it.

What you want would be the equivalent of Takano giving up before Minagoroshi, without even interacting with or confronting anyone directly, but then Rika still gets killed for an unrelated reason and we still get the entire Matsuri arc afterwards, with Takano once again having given up from the start but still going through the motions. It's a ridiculous premise.

Did she need to make piles of washboards rain from the ceiling to catch Keiichi and Rika? Did she need to win the baseball game by herself? Did she need to take a fire extinguisher to Keiichi's house and put out the fire by herself when she'd know Rika would do that? No. She just likes being flashy and stand out.

I see her heart. You're the one that can't. She initially believed that Rika was changed by St.Lucia and wanted to avoid that. When she dove into Rika's loops though, she learned that she was someone completely different from how she presented herself. And yet if anything that just strengthened her obsession with her, since it became the focus of most of her existence. Now, she doesn't just want Rika to avoid St.Lucia. She wants to stay with Rika, but the -real- Rika. She wants to tear her mask and face the dark face hidden inside. That's why she's shown disliking Rika's "nipah" act in ep24. That's why Satoko is smirking in the cliffhanger at the end of Satokowashi when Rika finally starts talking with her adult voice, even though her identity has been exposed.

This is the actual heart of the story. It's all a long process to make Rika expose that dark side of her to Satoko. It's not a random sequence of tragedies where Satoko tries to latch onto people who are nice to her.

I really think it's possible part of her goal is making Rika throw away her mask and talk to her as her real self, but it's getting saved for Sotsu. She doesn't seem satisfied with Nipah Rika going by Gou's finale.
