Alright so I just got 100% on Bansenjin. In some ways it's better than Hachimyoujin and in other ways it's worse, so I guess it all evens out at the end? Regardless, it was fun SoL shenanigans + chuuni autism as expected so all is well. One obvious improvement is the addition of the two new heroines. It's not that I had anything against the original 4 in the first Senshinkan, but Mizuki was pretty much the only one I really found attractive. In Bansenjin, Shizuno is adorable with her retarded fangirl-ness and autism, and Nanten is also pretty great despite being a bit fucked in the head. On that note, the H scenes are way better as well although Hachimyoujin's H was so bad that this wasn't really a high bar to clear. The fanservice 3P scenes were pretty nice though.

I guess it's technically a fandisc so the game is a mix of goofy SOL stuff plus an actual main plot (very similar to hollow ataraxia in that regard). Overall, the main plot is pretty well put together and when things get intense later on, you're subject to the endless walls of autistic Masada action prose (this is why you're here right?). That said, I did think there were several obvious details that could have been done better to make the work better. The plot in the early parts of the game kind of drag a bit to be honest. To be fair, going back and learning about the first loop was not a bad idea, but it felt like it could have been condensed since it rehashes the first game so much. Was it really necessary to see Amakasu visit Seijuurou? Sure that was a nice CG, but I don't think that really added anything we didn't already know from Hachimyoujin. The early parts did have some good scenes in it though like that part with Harumitsu vs Yoshiya while they're breaking through the 4th layer for the first time. That said, the Nobuaki and Nanten subplot is incredible and makes up for my grumbling. I just wish Masada did something different here and maybe explored Keira some more or something instead of giving her the short end of the stick. Another small complaint is that Seishirou being a literal palette swap of Seijuurou seemed really lazy. I get that was the whole point being that he's the second 逆さ十字 and all but that's just too on the nose. They should have just given the guy a different design; it's not like this game was lacking budget.

That aside, all the other new characters/additions are fucking great. As mentioned earlier, Shizuno and Nanten are good and both have nice designs. Kriemhild is cool as fuck and also a cute nazi so that's always welcome. Huang (I think that's how you spell it) looks like a chuuni meth addict or something which fits. Once the plot takes off, it gets pretty good. Masada is such a madman that he does the "it's all a dream lol" twist AGAIN, but it didn't even bother me. The final part is arguably more grand than Hachimyoujin's climax (Yoshiya vs Amakatsu is a better fight though strictly speaking). You have all four 盧生 suddenly appearing via timefuckery. Amakasu and Kriemhild both do the magic summoning/kyuudan shit or whatever and blow shit up. Of course, Yoshiya gets into a manly punchout fight with Huang to make him less of a faggot too.. One small grumble is that Huang is basically a slightly reworked Hajun from KKK. The motivation and character is completely different. But the setup is extremely similar (both villains not being revealed until the end) and their end result is pretty much the same (rejecting connections/bond with others).

Also as an aside, I want to say that the chick that voiced Nanten was amazing. That performance in final scene with Nobuaki and Nanten before the climax of the story was really something else. Hell, Nobuaki and Nanten is arguably the highlight of this entire game.
