There're quite a few large desert animals actually: camels, pronghorn, etc. I doubt they feed too much as they probably just idle underground in a semi-hibernation state until they're ready to prey on animal or a potential husband. That likely changes when they obtain a husband as their lifestyle will become more active and thus need more food for a time being before husband becomes incubized. Fluid can be obtained from animals. They probably don't urinate at all as they'd need to be efficient with fluids in such an arid climate. Semen alone can sustain a sandworm or any monster girl once incubization has been completed.

Why are sandworms so perfect?

I'd be more open to the idea of slimes, but I just can't past the fact that they lack a real anatomy. They don't have solid flesh, a beating heart, muscles, and human bodily fluids. Of course, they can mimic the human shape and possibly is texture if they're skilled enough, but it's just not the same. On the other hand, I absolutely love the idea of being covered in a monster's fluids all day everyday. For that reason I gravitate more towards sandworms and not slimes. You still get that perpetual sliminess from living in their mouths, though perhaps less viscous than a slime. They can somewhat morph their flesh inside the mouth like a slime can morph their slime. But they still retain that real anatomy, a real heart, real blood, tongue, muscles, etc.

Sure, I could convince a monster girl to engage in giantess vore to satisfy my mouth fetish and receive that full body blowjob. But why do that when sandworms basically do that by default?
