I got Yamashiro up to around 40 thanks to using her in the event and clearing 2-4 since my only BBs for a while were her, Mutsu, and Haruna. I finally got Kongou and Kirishima during the event and once I got them both to Kai, Yamashiro ended up on the bench permanently.

E-1 was my first time ever having to kill subs since I hadn't unlocked world 4 yet, I lost an unremodeled Yura to the boss sub cut-in my first time trying it (having no clue then that fighting subs at night is useless), she was the only ship I ever lost. I went and grinded up Isuzu, Abukuma, and a new Yura and built depth charges just to kill the subs.

Seriously? I'm at 92% win rate without ever refreshing it, at least not on purpose.

Well that was anticlimactic; after finally upgrading my 3 ASW ships, getting them depth charges, and getting my big ships repaired, I end up crushing the event boss on the first try. Granted I did luck out and got the easiest boss grouping.

Now watch the true final boss prevent me from even reaching the sub boss for the next 10 runs.
