日本共産党 is not the same communist party like the Soviet Union's or China's. In fact, their manifestos are very different and 日本共産党 even condemn chinese and soviet ways of communism.

They concentrate on welfare and pacifism, and even better relations with China, Korea and the rest of the world (besides the USA)
Too bad these good old folks can't see that Japanese MNCs are the artery of Japanese economy. But most of the new members are high school/ university students which makes up 40% of the members of 共産党.

I kinda much prefer 社民党 though but they're just a bit too insgnificant.

i'll post the manifesto of the 共産党 later when i get back home.

Also, the Japanese people are ignorant about N. Korea and assume everything will be fine. NK is a threat that the Japanese council should pay attention rather than squabbling over constituencies and provinces and other minor stuff no one cares about.
