Simple question: Why do people call visual novels games? Outside of stuff like Rance and a few others which actually have gameplay, its just all text and a few choices (no, clicking a button doesn't make it a game, or I play games 8 hours a day every workday)

So why do people consider these games?

(also I'm not trying to troll, I love VNs and have beaten at least 15 of them. I just don't see them as games)

Fate Stay Night-still first playthrough on Fate and just meet beserker
or
Umineko- just downloaded it and at the beginning of episode 1

the first two post to both end in the same number and say to do the same novel is my choice.

Greetings, /jp/

I just finished playing Fate/Stay Night which would be my first proper VN. I thought it was a masterpiece.

I was really moved by the experience and I would like to play some more of them.

As noob, stupid and common as it may sound, can anyone please recommend me any similar VN's? I don't mind H-scenes.

Also, I am currently unable to purchase them. So I was hoping if I could get some tips to downloading them, if possible.
