So 近視 means you can't see shit that's far from you... but does 近視用の眼鏡 mean glasses that help you see things that are close to you (e.g. reading glasses)? I'm not good enough to understand the Japanese definition and I have a feeling the English definition isn't literal since the kanji in 近視 are something along the lines of "close" + "look at"
