>Its generous compared to DMM games but its pretty stingy and among the least generous mobile games if we move away from the DMM platform and move to the popular/social games area.
Having played some other mobile kusoge (though primarily Brave Frontier, which may color my opinions a bit): that entirely depends on what games you're thinking of as examples because that description is so broad and all-encompassing that you can basically cherry-pick any comparisons you want from it.

FKG's constant barrage of silver and bronze pots is incredibly demoralizing but there's a lot more to it than that.

For one thing, in FKG, your top-rarity units actually stay useful instead of falling off the face of the earth in terms of relevance a few months after you get them. And once you get a team of ~10-15 rainbows you stand a pretty good shot at clearing every single piece of content introduced. This is in contrast to having to make 5-6 different elemental/class-based teams for different types of challenges, with the extra factor that events introduced ingame (with the recent exception of the Niddhoggr events) almost never require you to have an optimal team setup.

Also, giveaways being the primary source of premium currency means that you don't get stuck with the problem of dead-end accounts which wasted the big exhaustible sources of ingame currency on trash rolls, and with the introduction of rainbow crystals and the 30-gem gacha you can reliably get a gold unit promoted to a rainbow about once every 3-4 months, in addition to the 1 "true" rainbow every 1-1.5 years or so. Honestly the last part is the only major legitimate gripe I have about FKG (apart from the extremely high prices for paid deals, but that's more a DMM thing): even with the extra coins from the 30-gem gacha it's just too damn slow to guarantee you'll ever be able to get the rainbows you want.

(FKG also doesn't have the Pandora's box of PvP to worry about either unlike so many of these games, and thank god for that.)

I can't bring myself to be interested in FGO because the one character I'd ever bother playing the game for is a time-limited gacha unit who comes around maybe once or twice a year and who I'm too much of a lucklet to ever obtain. As bad as the barrage of silver pots are the thought of saving up for Passionlip for 1-2 months before actually playing the game, only to be told to fuck off and come back in a year, is enough to keep me away.
