Yeah, when I thought we were overrun by cancer, these threads pop up and suddenly I am at peace once more.
You are a beacon of hope, /jp/.

Sticky this thread moot to clarify things.

Also, please change the rules page to "otaku culture." Japan/General is far too ambiguous.

To hell with this topic about /bun/. Let's talk about 4chan's stretched moderation team. I used to joke about 4chan not having moderation, but never before in my years on 4chan have I seen it this bad. And believe it or not, it's not their fault. On any given night their ban request query can have 2 to 3 thousand ban request on it. They are out numbered. And now the shitposters have finally caught wind of this. The reason you're seeing spam, /v/, dailydose, and /b/ threads is because there are no punishments for misbehavior. This is what board anarchy looks like. /jp/ is old-old /b/.

In a sticky, moot said he was going to do something about this after he got done dealing with the spam. Let's make sure he keeps his word. I believe if we emailed moot about this it might actually accomplish something. 4chan needs 10 more local janitors for each board and 40 more global moderators.

moot recently answered one of my emails. So don't say it's futile.

>The new /jp/ should be like the old /b/, a.k.a. Japan/Random. Anything goes, no moderation except for deliciously illegal images.
/jpa/ - Japan/Alternative or Random.

But he would have to rename /jp/.

/jp/ - Japan/Culture

Japan/General is too ambiguous. It should be called doujin, culture, Visual Novels, or Neta.

But moot doesn't need to create this board right now. He should wait until /jp/ dies. That way there would be a new home waiting for us. Every time a board reaches 8M post, moot should create a hybrid board to slip up the overgrown userbase. /b/ grew too big that even splitting it up (/r9k/) wasn't enough. He'd have to make 5 /b/s in order to do that. But doing so would be hard on the moderators. That's why the new boards should be user moderated. He could hire 30 janitors per board. These Janitors could be trained by the Anonymous moderators in a secret board.

I love how since Moot fixed the DNS server, 4chan has become slow as hell once again and that's not even mentioning the post quality.
