I like certain artist styles and certain themes but not necessarily everything from that period. I usually look back on those eras with disdain. I miss fun quaint games though. Thank goodness the doujin scene still exists for now.

I get sort of nostalgic for the "generic anime style" from back then. The style of shading, highlights, pointed hair tips, excessive clothing folds.

Something about it seems more cartoony. Modern styles lack something I don't really understand clearly.
