Subaru's constant misfortune makes me root for her like nothing else. Every time she's playing with someone I want her to win. Maybe that's the whole point but her rare shining highs are so much more sweeter because of her desperate lows and everyone making fun of her for those and often times creating them in the first place. Serves to accentuate the strength of Subaru's character really nicely.
